Hi,

Trying to think of a build to spread conditions and have some ability to do a nice spike for kill count. I'm not sure what to run on the monk. Draws from the necro will be confusing for an RC monk. I'm thinking of spellbreaker prot, no aegis, lod infuse. Here's what I have so far:

Me/e: Fevered Dreams, Fragility, Signet of Humility, Mantra of Inscriptions, Diversion, Glyph of lesser energy, storm djinns haste, resurrection signet.

N/Mo: insidious parasite, shadow of fear, mark of pain, parasitic bond, well of weariness, contagion, draw conditions, resurrection signet.

E/: Glyph of Lesser energy, blinding surge, air attunement, storm djinns haste, gale, lightning orb, lightning bolt, resurrection signet.

E/: Shockwave, Obsidian Flame, ward against foes, ward of stability, ward against elements, glyph of lesser energy, earth attunement, resurrection signet.

A/w: black spider strike, twisting fangs, black lotus strike, skull crack, blades of steel, siphon speed, flail, resurrection signet.

A/w: black spider strike, twisting fangs, black lotus strike, assault enchantments, blades of steel, siphon speed, flail, resurrection signet.

Mo/me: shielding hands, mend condition, reversal of fortune, spirit bond, spell breaker, holy veil, channeling, shield of absorption

Mo/me orison, seed, dwaynas kiss, infuse health, light of deliverance, channeling, holy veil, mend condition,

I don't play ele, so any advice there would help. Flail is a slow down but I'm hoping for cripple to be everywhere, and only use flail on a spike if need be.

I considered vim on the sins (lol) but, assault enchantments and skull crack is another condition, enchants sorted out and interupts sorted out.

skull crack is ftw.

i still see it fairly hard to keep up with paraspike with expel though...

balanced pressure spikes are going to be outdone by simple crap like ritspike, paraspike, and SFspike because GW meta is leet.

well, for some suggestions...i'd take guardian on a monk given how everyone's a softy and wards themselves might not be enough. the earth ele feels like there's too much emanagement given how everything recharges so slow. barbs would be a nice addition on the necro, especially since your sins will hit multiple times during the combos

There is going to be a lot of blind for paraspike. Wouldn't signet of humility disable expel hex's? Also it is not that hard to skullcrack expel.

ritspike is not hard to fight against, spirit bond and you will soon get to kill them.

For the sin bar with skull crack I'm considering:

leaping mantis sting, jungle strike, horns of the ox, falling spider, skull crack, twisting fangs, flail, resurrection signet.

Possibly life sheath on the prot monk. I don't really like gaurdian myself. It is okey for anti melee and what not, but there is plenty of blind.

Ugly do not run ritspike, paraspike, sfspike... I'm not going to run them builds, so I would like maximum milage out of another build.

While I agree that a high ranked team playing this will be able to use the build effectively against things like ritspike, it's still much more dangerous than playing other two monk backline builds, simply because there isn't as much protection as most of them out there today. I won't even begin to talk about trying to play this build for the first time with PUGs, since I don't think it's designed this way.

The biggest concern in my quote there is for kill count maps. I've seen ugly as well as many other high ranked groups lose in places like broken tower simply because they couldn't match the killing output of those teams. 1v1, they'd have a good chance to win, but kill count is essentially "whoever can farm noobs faster"

Good build, but just have some more questions:
-how would it do against a heavy hex team, as sins will be near completely worthless even more so than warriors with anti-melee hexes.
-what if you lose lod? it seems like there is very little outside healing (the offmonk doesn't even have gift right now)
-any plans for hard rez? i'd like to see one of the eles go e/rt and take death pact or flesh or both :O

A hard res might be a good idea, not sure.

Spell breaker will keep the sin clear of hex's for a bit. Enough to interupt some later on too. I could take out shielding hands or SoA for gift of health. Veil needs to be changed for deny hex's too. There is no point running veil when there's a recharging divine skill. That'll be a bit extra hex removal. If it really failed, maybe divert hex.

Someone even mentioned using Sandstorm for kill count, it might work. The damage from shock wave can be really nice but you have to run in and tank for a bit with it.

Yeah it's not designed for pugs. I would have to play it in kill count to know how it does. I think the eles could kill low targets easily enough. The build would have to be played offensively I think. I was tabbing and adding people for a group in HA last night. I had contagion on the hero but he doesn't use it right, so again I don't know what the damage will be like. It is hard to visualise it.

It would be nice if someone could try it xD.

your only snares are siphon speed and foes which is fairly weak might wanna take out stability for gale on the earth ele spell breaker is weak
skull crack is weak
the ench removal in the build is weak consider trying to fit a mirrior and a drain somewhere
that necro has no energy managment

If I run leaping mantis (not sure whether too) it'll be another snare with the mesmer I guess.

How is spell breaker weak for this build? Name another sollution?

Skull crack is not weak, sure if you are no good at interupting it is, but if you are good then it works out just fine. Building up 9 adrenaline on an assassin is not hard.

Assault enchantments removes all enchantments fairly quickly for five energy, why is that weak?

Mirror is nice for aegis, but with skullcrack, assault enchantments, why would I need to use mirror.

Not sure about the necro, I was hohping soul reaping would be enough xD.
